(R&B) CIRCLE : ONGOLE IN PRAKASAM DISTRICT AS ON 05.09.2019
Superintending Engineer is head of (R&B) Department at District Level. 3 Nos. of Executive Engineers are working at division level (ie) Ongole, Kanigiri and Markapur. 9 Nos. of Deputy Executive Engineers are working at Sub division level (ie) Ongole, Chirala, Addanki, Kanigiri, Kandukur, Podili, Markapur, Cumbum and Giddalur and also 29 Sections in (R&B) circle, Ongole. Prakasam District is 3rd largest District in new Andhra Pradesh State with 17626 Sq. Km. area. Total length of Roads under the control of (R&B) Department is 3669.766 Kms.

The prime activity of this department is development and maintenance of road net work in the district especially State Highways, Major District Roads and other District Roads. Construction and maintenance of Government buildings also under the perview of this department. This department will take up the development works (ie) new construction, improvements of roads, Bridges and Buldings under various schmes funded by NABARD, STATE & CENTRAL GOVERNMENT, NDB, ADB, CRF and WORLD BANK FUNDS etc.
