Reliance Industries Limited is implementing a Compressed Bio-Gas (CBG) project in Prakasam district that promotes sustainable energy and rural economic development, integrating agricultural resources with clean energy production.
Prakasam district is emerging as an important center for mineral exploration with the development of three composite licence iron ore blocks at Addankivaripalem, Lakshmakapalle North and Lakshmakapalle South. These strategically located blocks are expected to strengthen Andhra Pradesh’s mining sector and provide raw materials for the steel industry.

The Ramayapatnam Port is a major infrastructure initiative aimed at strengthening Andhra Pradesh’s maritime capabilities and boosting economic development. Strategically located at Ramayapatnam village in Gudluru Mandal of SPS Nellore District, the port is being developed as a modern deep-water facility. It is 93 km north of Krishnapatnam Port and 175 km south of Machilipatnam Port, with NH-16 approximately 5.5 km away and the nearest railway station (Thettu) about 5 km away.

The Government of Andhra Pradesh, through its Integrated Clean Energy Policy 2024, has reaffirmed its commitment to accelerating the clean energy transition. To strengthen domestic production and reduce dependence on imported renewable energy components, NREDCAP is spearheading the development of a Renewable Energy Manufacturing Zone (REMZ) in Prakasam district on a plug-and-play model.

PMFME Scheme 2025–26: Empowering Food Processing Entrepreneurs
The Andhra Pradesh Food Processing Society is implementing the PM Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) Scheme in Prakasam District to promote self-employment among upcoming entrepreneurs. The scheme covers approximately 62 types of different food products generated through Agriculture, Horticulture, Dairy and Fisheries sectors in the district, creating a robust ecosystem for agri-food value addition and rural employment.
